Rosario Quieju Tzina

Bilingual in Spanish and Tzutujil, has completed the fifth grade, and recently completed the project's one year sewing and pattern making course. Born in 1985, and lives in a high-risk area of Tzanchaj, adjacent to the temporary shelters with her parents and six brothers and sisters. Rosario is a lectura and representative for a youth group in her church. She is the second oldest in her family, with many responsibilities during a long illness that her mother suffered. In addition to her excellent abilities as a seamstress, she has worked for years as a weaver on a foot loom.
