Visual artist who studied painting, drawing and printmaking at Otis, Oregon, and San Francisco Art Institutes on the west coast of the United States. Co- owner of the Posada de Santiago with her husband of 27 years. Resident of Purua Xechivac/Panabaj for nearly 20 years, where they managed the Posada and raised their two grown children. They have a long history of community participation. Bilingual in English and Spanish with a fair understanding of Tzutujil. She has an active spiritual life, and attends church and related activities regularly.
